GROVE
A Centennial Grove is a living tribute to your community. A commemorative grove of 100 trees will serve as a permanent monument, growing right along with the community it shades.
A Centennial Grove can also be designed to enhance the geographical features of your community: as an entrance, as a border to a main thoroughfare, as a complement to a park or median, or a shady respite at a school or playground.
Municipalities, county governments, state agencies, nonprofits and civic organizations are encouraged to consider this living legacy.
The Centennial Groves project is a program of The Tree Bank Foundation. Experts will assist your community in all aspects of establishing a grove from selecting the trees that will thrive in your area, to providing information on maintenance, planting, and even dedication ceremonies.
An average 100-tree grove planted by community volunteers costs approximately $10,000 -- but trees can be planted in stages, so groves can be planned to accommodate budget needs.
